Bothell crosses the county line: part of the city is in King County and part in Snohomish County. For our work, the county matters less than the terrain. Wooded hillsides, the Sammamish River valley and neighborhoods built from the 1960s through the 2000s produce a mix of rodent, moisture and insulation work.
Wooded lots and roof rats
Many Bothell neighborhoods are heavily treed, with branches touching or overhanging roofs. That is ideal roof rat access. The typical sign is noise at night directly above bedrooms and droppings concentrated along the attic edges, where rats enter at the eaves. Valley-floor crawl spaces
Homes on lower ground near the Sammamish River and its tributary creeks are more likely to see high groundwater in winter. Higher on the hills, crawl spaces are usually drier, and condensation or plumbing leaks are the more common moisture source. We identify which one you have before recommending anything.
Which utility serves you
On the King County side, electricity comes from Puget Sound Energy; on the Snohomish County side, from Snohomish County PUD. Each runs its own insulation and air sealing programs, which vary by heating type. We check which one your address falls under.
